While most driving schools use smaller drawbar trucks we have a full sized articulated C+E Training Vehicle.

Expert Instructors

Our instructors have expert knowledge to ensure that you present to the driving examiner correct procedures.

Private reversing area

To give customers maximum confidence at reversing the vehicle for the driving test we have our own practice ground.

Instructors are all fully qualified by the DVSA, RTITB and ALLMI. But above all they are friendly, capable and deliver excellent training.

Classrooom based learning

Our classroom is comfortable with enough seating for up to 15 drivers and has air conditioning.

Driving Training

BE – CAR PLUS TRAILER

Combinations of vehicles consisting of a vehicle in category B and a trailer, gross weight of the trailer must not exceed 3500kg.

C1 – 7.5 TONNER

Vehicles between 3500kg and 7500kg with no more than 8 passenger seats.

C1E – 7.5 TONNER & TRAILER

Vehicles between 3500kg and 7500kg plus trailer of over 750kg gross weight, combined weight no greater than 12000kg and no more than 8 seats.

C – CLASS 2 RIGID

Rigid bodied vehicles over 7500kg with less than 8 seats.

CE – CLASS 1 ARTIC

Combination of truck and trailer over 12000kg gross weight of the entire combination, upto a maximum of 44000kg.

D – BUS/COACH

Coaches and buses with more than 16 passenger seats.

D1 – MINIBUS

Minibuses with up to 16 passenger seats and not exceeding 8 metres overall length.

D1E – MINIBUS & TRAILER

Minibuses with up to 16 passenger seats with a trailer over 750kg.

Operator Training

COUNTERBALANCE

The counterbalance lift truck is the most ‘normal’ lift truck to operate, being the most widely used across all warehousing industries and small businesses.

REACH

Reach trucks are operated in warehouses with very smooth floors and unlike counterbalance trucks they are only operated inside. They can also operate in small spaces and lift loads.

PEDESTRIAN STACKER

Pedestrian Stacker trucks are less common than reach trucks but they are extremely manouvreable, so popular in places that any other lift truck are too big to operate within.

MOBILE ELEVATING WORK PLATFORM

The electric- or gas-powered platform that is mounted on folding arms is used to provide elevated work areas or to help raise or lower unit loads.

ROUGH TERRAIN TELEHANDLER

Perhaps the biggest and most spectacular of all lift truck, this machine can travel through wet, muddy, rough terrain and lift up to 5-6 tons.

MOFFETT MOUNTY

Moffett Mounty forklifts as they are often known due to the company that invented them are also known as Lorry Mounted Forklifts. They mount to the rear of a truck or trailer.

RTITB INSTRUCTOR COURSE

The Lift Truck Instructor course will provide trainees with the skills required to prepare and examine operators for the working environment of lift trucks.
